Pyrate Revolution leads to World Freedom (of expression)

"Intellectual property is the oil of the 21st century"  ~Mark Getty~

Teens are getting charged in file sharing suits, feature film leaks can be seen at the click of a button and the entertainment industries are stating this could ruin them.  Why start a war against the people instead of suppling to the demaing consumor?  Tv is the way of the past, youtube is the way of the future.  Welcome to the digital age.
Many years ago in the late 1900s people used to share music by making an audio recording of a friends audio recording, usually done in the form of cassette tapes and video tapes.  As home recording machines became affordable in most homes it was easy to copy and share music and movies.  You could and still can go to blockbuster and rent a new movie, peel off the little sticker and make a copy of the movie.  You could record a movie off any payperview station or 'free' cable and satellite and give it to a friend and so on.  But why would you go through all that when blockbuster will send the movie to your house and you can order the cd online.  Now you are stuck with a bulky plastic case a vhs/cassette/dvd/cd that you have to get up and change.  Yes we are lazy when it comes to our entertainment, this is true.  We get active when friends come over to wii, we go to shows and mosh, have pints with our friends and work the daily grind.  The internet, digital technology and wireless capability is where entertainment is.  I can watch movies from France, listen to music from Italy, read comics from Japan and TV shows from England all on my 10" portable screen.  My news is all sent to one nice little page via RSS and I don't have to buy a magazine or worry about recycling my paper.  There are aspiring film makers sharing indy movies on you-tube and new bands and artists sharing their talent with the world. ...And the north american music industry is worried about losing millions of dollars, money the average person will never even come close to seeing.   One thing this wonderful world of freedom has taught those of us who know it well is: the fans will support.  If you find a band you like, you go to the show, you buy a shirt this supports the band.  If you really want to see a movie you will go see it.  Those who don't will file share it, just like the old days, just like those who snuck into the back door of theaters.  If you build a lock someone will pick it, if you put an anti-theft in a car someone will steal it, but the fans will always support, be it a Tshirt, a patch or pin, or some form of memorabilia.  The fans are free advertising in their forum sigs, and DIY custom clothes.  Old dinosaurs need to be put to dust, the new age has spoken and a new revolution for freedom of expression has started.
